The FCS GMB template is a design collaboration between FCS and US shaper Matt Mayhem Biolos (co-founder of Lost) and now comes available in Performance Core construction. A lively combination of projection and maneuverability from Matt Biolos's favorite templates, refined with feedback from his Lost team riders. A unique combination of performance elements makes the FCS GMB template versatile across a variety of different conditions and board designs. A shorter base allows for acute directional change and eliminates any sticking sensations. The base length is offset with an increase in depth and moderate sweep angle and a rounded full tip. Size wise, the thruster template fits between the FCS PC 5 and PC7 nicely. These features translate into a fin with great pivoting characteristics that will also provide exceptional hold off the bottom and throughout the turning arc. Performance Core (PC) material and construction is designed to deliver the feeling of a traditional glass fin with the added performance of reduced weight. An increase in stiffness and positive tip flex adds faster response by creating an immediate transfer of energy from the surfer through to the fin. This enhances start-up acceleration and makes it an ideal fin for tight pocket surfing in extremely critical sections. The GMB template sits in size between the FCS M-5 and M-7 and is a flat foiled fin with the core dropped down for improved tip flex.
